Lyn maintained a 100% record after Dave’s Leeds had the lead for the majority of the match, but goals on 75th and 80th minutes gave the points to Lyn. Dan, Keith, Andy and Mick all took a point home as their matches ended as draws. Mick looked like he had the 3 points in the bag away at Andy’s but Andy’s injury time penalty gave them the equaliser they needed to take a share of the points. Pete's excitement at being top of the table maybe short lived as Jane took a comfortable two goal lead and his solitary effort wasn't enough to take any points. Has Pete reached his peak this soon?
Excitement in the match where Colin hosted Anna with a hatful of late goals. Reach gave the home team the lead on 79 minutes, Anna’s Stanislas equalised on 86 minutes only for Colin's Williams to regain the lead on 88 minutes and take the points. Has Anna's team hit the rails already as their manager was quoted as saying "Although we've lost the game, we fought right to the end and we can take credit from that." Credit maybe - but more of the Curry bill too!
Jan’s Michael Chopra hadn’t scored for 12 games but gave Jan an early birthday present by scoring in the 90th minute and taking all three points leaving Scott with nothing. More late goals at Ted's match with Chris but Ted's result of a win when his 89th strike made it 3-1 was only pegged back to 3-2 with Chris's 90th minute penalty whilst Sue had a solid win at home to Barnsley.
Goals in 77th & 90th minutes gave Margs her first win in the Championship. Paula scored a consolation goal late on but it was never going to make a difference to the score line and she remains at the bottom pointless and paying more than she had hoped.
Wednesday night results:
Shirley | 1 | Amy | 0 |
Shirley pulled it out the bag to give herself a home win over Amy and shoot to second in our table (alphabetically). Who'd have thought that after just two matches everyone has gained and lost points except Lyn who kept all hers and Paula who hasn't picked any up yet!
