Results, Update and Fixtures

So the season kicked off and there were wins for Keith, Dave, Anna, Scott, Amy, Pete, Lyn and team of the week Mick.  Of note was Scott's 3-2 away win against Paula with Paula looking like taking the three points until Scott nicked two goals in the 88th and 90th minutes. Even the drunken Watford fans we met in London said they were lucky.  Other late goals which changed the result were Chris's Birmingham in 90th minute against Jane to share the spoils, 90th minute by Ted's Sheffield Wednesday to claim 3 points away at Derby, Keith's 90th minute strike on Friday to take all three points against Andy and Shirley's generous 83rd minute own goal to force a draw with Jan.  Amy's 85 minute winner was enjoyable - mostly because of the barracking she gave Dan. (long may that continue).

Hadn't quite realised the significance of the Anna V Margs fixture even though it was Match of the Day.  Owen Coyle was returning to Turf Morr where he had lead Burnley to the Premier League.  Anna did you really need to hire a plane towing a banner saying he was a Judas? Obviously no love lost there. 

Had a strange moment in London when I saw a Blackpool fan and had he urge to get his photo for Lyn - then remembered that was the Olympics and now this is CCC!

I wasn't going to do the table after just one game but have decided to do so for a couple of reasons.  pete has declared Leicester top (actually third on goal differeence - not that it counts for us) and I didn't want Lyn, Anna, Scott, Keith, Amy, Dave and Mick to miss being up there with him. Also for Anna's point of view - this is dizzy heights she has not reached before!  Margs - all too familiar feel of being at the bottom of the pile. I'm saving my 50p a match already :-(
