Match updates ... (with one to come)

Paula's Palace retains top spot after trailing at lowly Peterborough for most of the match. The visitors scored in 80th and 82nd minute to ensure Paula retains her free curry. Colin's Middlesborough maintain their second place after a 3-1 win over Team of the Week, Ted' Sheff Wednesday. Colin lead after scoring in the first half, Ted equalised early in the second, but Colin's Middlesborough scored two more to ensure a 3-1 win on Friday night. Not to be out-done Keith's Cardiff scored in both halves to beat Amy's Hull 2-1.

Pete's Leicester had a 2-2 draw at home to Mick's Forest on the telly. Pete's team had lead twice but apparently Forest's final goal was a contentious penalty decision. Comments Mick?  Shirley's new manager is still waiting for his first win after she drew 1-1 at home to Chris's Birmingham and Lyn's Blackpool (with new manager) came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Margs' Bolton. Sue's Wolves drew 3-3 with Dan's Brighton. The home team had lead twice, Dan then took the lead with an 89th minute penalty but Sue's ten-man Wolves headed in an injury time winner to pick up a share of the points despite having had less of the possession during the game.

On the subject of teams finishing with less than eleven players, Dave's Leeds finished with just 9 after they had had a player sent off just before half time and having made all their substitutions Rodolph Austin went off with a broken leg. At half time the visitors, Scott's Watford had just a 1-0 lead but by the time the match finished the final result was an embarrassing 1-6 with Scott taking the three points.  Ex-Leeds player Beckford, scored the winner as Andy's Huddersfield won 1-0 away at Barnsley but Jim's Derby lost 2-1 away at Millwall.

The most impressive performance of the day perhaps goes to Jan's Ipswich who under new manager Mick McCarthy managed to pick up their first home win of the season beating Anna's Burnley 2-1.  The manager described it as 'it wasn't pretty, silky or sexy'.  So at this point in time Jan is off the bottom but Kelly is still to play at home to Jane this afternoon - but only a win would leave Jan bottom again.
