Match reports & updates

Paula's Palace started the day in 3rd place but a 5-0 thrashing of bottom place Jan's Ipswich saw her clinch top spot and free curry after Jane's Charlton beat top place Keith's Cardiff 5-4. The visitors (Cardiff) were 2-0 up before the home team scored five and then Keith got two late goals in injury time to make the score look close.

Meanwhile despite Mick’s prediction, Colin’s Middlesborough earned a point away at Mick’ Forest with a 0-0 draw to claim second place. Amy’s Hull climbed up the table with a 2-1 home win against Sue’s Wolves, the away team’s goal courtesy of an own goal.  Pete’s Leicester only gained a point away at Margs’ Bolton and Scott’s Watford hosting Millwall had a similar score. Andy’s Huddersfield and Shirley’s Blackburn also earned a point with a 2-2 draw, with Andy getting an injury time equaliser.

Dan’s Brighton had a 1-0 victory over Peterborough, also an injury time strike and Anna’s Burnley had the same scoreline with a home win over Dave’s Leeds. Anna’s inform striker Charlie Austin is now top scorer in the Championship.  Chris’s Birmingham kept ahead of Jane with a 2-0 win at home to Kelly’s Bristol City, Jim kept up at the top end of the table with a 2-0 win over Barnsley and Lyn’s Blackpool won by the same score away at Ted’s Sheff Wednesday. They are better off staying managerless :-)

Jane's win amongst others, and their defeats see Ted, Kelly and Jan all suffer with an increase in cost.
