CCC - Match Reports & updates

Lyn's Blackpool lost her 100% record as Pete's Leciester clinched the win and halved his bill with a 54th minute penalty.  Shirley's 'Team of the Week' Blackburn maintained second spot after leading 2-0 away at Dave's Leeds until Dave stormed 3-2 ahead only to be pegged back to 3-3 and the two shared the points.  Amy's Hull showed no mercy to Margs' Bolton winning 3-1.  Having taken an early lead Andy' Huddersfield was ahead away at Jan's Ipswich but needed a 80th minute strike to gain a share of the points after the home team scored a brace to level at 2-2. If he had scored his late penalty Andy would have taken all three points.  Despite being down to 10 men Barnsley inflicted a 1-0 defeat on visitor Kelly's Bristol City, whilst Colin's Middlesborough suffered a similar fate with a 3-1 score line at Millwall.

Paula's Crystal Palace achieved their first win of the season as Glenn Murray scored scored the quickest goal of the day in the 1st minute and another late on to seal a 2-1 victory over Ted and Chris got his first win of the season with a 1-0 scoreline at home to Peterborough.

Featuring your team on the blog is a lucky omen as Jon's Derby proved as five players got their name on the scoresheet in his 5-1 win over Scott. Scott - you may have noticed Jon was pleased! It was Derby's first home win in five months but presumably that includes May, June and July when hardly any matches were played.

Mick also featured Notts Forest along with a fine photo of him in his new shirt.  There was obviously much banter in the Sheppard household but Mick survived a late scare (scoring an own goal in 88th minute) and won the pride of the house beating Jane's Charlton 2-1. We all know what they had for dinner that night - and if you don't or don't understand why you need to go back and check out all the comments on the posts.

The other Match of the Day featured Anna hosting Dan and Dan's Brighton showed no sympathy to Anna's Burnley winning 3-1 (scoring one own goal wasn't enough to help Anna out) and consigning her to the lower end of the table and joint largest proportion of the bill!

In the Sunday match Keith's Whittingham scored a hatrick to give his Cardiff team a 3-1 win over Sue.
