CCC - it's been a while and now stuff is happening!

It has been a while since we have posted anyone's fortunes (or the fortune they will need to fork out - I think having 3 curries in a season has confused me!!)

Andy's Fulham have clinched their 3rd promotion in 5 years and he may secure the free curry if he beats Bournmouth this weekend.   No doubt Andy will have watched Fulham at various grounds around the country.

At the other end of the table Dave's Barnsley have had a rubbish season and he is last place but with a game in hand over the Rams it is Jim's Derby who have taken the first relegation spot - the 21 point deduction was always going to make it a difficult season.

I have never liked Rooney. (...not since he should have been sent off at Fratton Park and even walked off the pitch only to be sent back on again by his manager when the ref gave him only a yellow.  The press next day said the ref was lenient because he was only young, if he was too young to play in the team don't play him or certainly don't pay him the stupid wages that footballers get - don't get me started....!!!!).  However, I am sad for Jim as Derby is genuinely the team he has followed for years and he has had them in the CCC since he joined in 2012_13 season.  That now leaves only Chris as having only had one team in the CCC. Whilst he will be at the expensive end I suspect he will be keeping them in for the next season.

REMINDER: The curry will be on Sunday 29th May in Horley - more on that soon.  Please let me know if you can't make it or will be sending a substitute.

CCC - end of the year

As we have reached the end of another weird year I thought it was time to update you on the CCC standings.

Derby have incurred another points deduction and Reading had one too.  Bournemouth are still flying high at the top.

Here is the latest table, but all to pay for.  There is still hope for Jim, this week's win saved him £3

CCC - it's all about The Midlands (belatedly)

It is a while since I have posted but here is an update on what has been happening in the CCC. Mostly it has centred around the Midlands with Forest (Mick) sacking their manager on 16th September and the Derby (Jim) going into administration on 22nd September giving them a 12 point penalty.  With another 9point deduction on the horizon for financial irregularities Jim has a lot to do to keep the only club he has ever had in the Championship in the CCC.  Kevin and Ted have been battling for top spot.  And Shirley is realising that taking Sheff Utd over Hull or Peterborough was possibly a good move.

CCC - new season starts

So with no actual CCC curries to properly finish the season for two years and the Euros and Olympics being on the telly - it was a bit of a shock that the Championship season was starting again!!

4 teams haven't yet played but here is the table after Day 2.  Personally the season can end now.

Don't forget we have the curry for 2019-2020 booked from Sunday 3rd October.

CCC - latest update

It has been a while and there aren't many matches to go.  Kate and Andy are already promoted.  And we know the four teams in the playoffs.  Have you all watched your team play this season and posted a photo of you watching on the blog so you can claim them back?

Technically Wycombe aren't down but for them to stay up (which they have only done 9 times all season) and reduce the goal difference by 13 goals compared to Derby and Derby have to lose (they have lost their last 5).

For those of you wondering how we are going to cope with two seasons... simple, two curries weeks or months apart.  It would not be fair on those that earnt a cheap curry to abandon last season and nor would it be fair to half the cost and roll into one.  Remember Dave got the free curry last year and I live with Dave :-).   Two curries in one day Dan is more than any stomach should have to cope with unless you are abroad!

Derby day in the Pine-First household....on the plus side Wycombe still firmly anchored to the bottom of the table...even though they scraped a lucky win :-)!!!
