Killer signing?

Aston Villa announced the signing of John Terry this morning.
Will it be vital for Villa's promotion or will it curse the villians. Only time will tell!!

So the title went from Brighton to Newcastle back to Brighton and then back to Newcaste when Villa scored in the 89th minute.

At the bottom Harry Rednapp kept Birmingham safe after then scored early on.  However, Blackburn took the lead and Notts Forest were in the frame to go down until Forest scored.

Play Up Pompey

Congratulations to Pompey on a dramatic win yesterday which saw them clinch the title as Dave predicted.  Back in the CCC the season after next? who knows?  Another trip to Burton next season then.

Pompey now join Wolves, Burnley, Preston and Sheffield Utd in doing what?

CCC - what's at stake next weekend

So the final match of the season is next Sunday 12noon.

At the top:
Dan's Brighton are at Amy's Aston and Sue's Newcastle at home to Anna's Barnsley, so Anna can help Dan but winning.  If Dan's team lose then a win or draw for Sue gives the free curry to Sue.  A draw or win for Sue without Dan winning gives the free curry to Sue.

Dave could make the playoffs if his Leeds team make up a lower gol difference of 14 goals and Fulham lose.

At the bottom:

Karen is already relegated as is Colin but both hope to reduce their bills. If Shirley's Blackburn and Mick's Forest both win and Chris' Birmingham loses then Chris is relegated but this is the least likely option.  As it is, Blackburn and Forest have the same points and only one difference in goal difference.  So it anyone's guess.

Shirley's Blackburn are away at Pete's Brentford, Mick's Forest are at home to Jan's Ipswich and Chris' Birmingham are away at Kelly's Bristol City (who beat Brighton last week!).

CCC confirmed promotion & relegation & table

So mixed fortunes for Sue and Colin as Sue's promotion is confirmed (another new team for Sue) and confirmed relegation for Colin (another new team for Colin).

Dan's Brighton were thwarted by Kelly's Bristol City and so the title race between Dan and Sue goes to the last game of the season.

CCC update

So Dan is promoted and has taken a new tack, scoring for the opposition.  Brighton lost to Norwich on Friday 2-0, without Norwich having a single shot on target, two own goals for the goalie off the bar and post.  Karen had a rare win but it doesn't reduce her bill much.
Dave did the honorable thing and let Burton win but is unlikely to make the playoffs without some mega scoring matches.  Chris now has Redknapp as manager who says that he won't take the money unless he keeps them up.  Most teams only have two matches to go.
