Bye Bye Bolton

So Bolton are relegated. Perhaps now the pressure is off they may try to pick up a few points (ever hopeful).
Anna remains on the freebie at the top after hanging onto a 1st minute lead against Dave's Leeds.  Forest and Brighton play tonight.  A win for Brighton would mean the only way they couldn't be in the playoffs is on goal difference.

CCC - "it was so far over the line it was nearly in France"

So my Bolton throw away a point right at the death letting Reading score a winner in the 90th minute (Thanks Lyn - not!).   Dave's Leeds let in a 90th minute penalty from Karen's Rotherham and so lost 2-1. This left just one score draw match in the Championship - Brighton v Burnley - the cash of the Stones. Weary of Burnley's likely promotions and wishing to keep a claim, Anna and Dan made their way down to Brighton for the early kick off for the top of the table and domestic clash.  Now Dan has been to a couple of Brighton matches with not much success on the entertainment front - in fact so much so that his source of tickets threatened that he could have no more.  To help Dan along I decide to bet on 0-0 at the bookies in an attempt to get the goals piling in.  It was very complicated at the bookies and in addition to my 0-0 final score bet I ended up with a half-time/full-time draw combination bet.  Sadly Dan scored in the last minute of the first half so was winning 2-1 at half-time - no good for my bet, but Anna's clear goal that crossed the line was disallowed and then her Burnley team scored n the 3rd minute of added time to make it 2-2 and I get to claim a couple of quid which will make a tiny dent in the amount of my expensive curry.  I will put it towards the cost of Anna's  .

So Middlesborough have manager problems and it shows.as they are losing to Charlton who alledgely were having various protests during today's match.  Paula wasn't happy with the amount she is paying but it is considerably more than me!  Anna's still at the top on the freebie.

CCC midweek update

So Dan saw another goaless boring Brighton match as Ted made sure that he  had seen Sheff Wed - in case they get promoted.  At the top of the table Anna' Burnley extended their lead with  win and Jim's Derby was the only other team in the top 6 to get a win.

My Bolton went 2-0 down to Jan's Ipswich coring only a minute later and then securing a point with a 97th minute penalty which saved me £1.88. Still well pricey on my curry though as Karen's Rotherham won and Paula' Charlton picked up a point.

CCC update - still expensive

So Dave escaped across the ocean so he could be out of range when his Leeds team beat my Bolton 2-1. A reversal of the scoreline would have cost Dave an extra £2.88 but saved me £4.08 - more economical for the Beales - but not to be.  Mick your phone hadn't updated, I was clear at the bottom from Paula . 14 people paying less than a £10.

At the top Anna has the free curry - I can't remember Anna, have you seen them this year to be able to keep them if they go up?
