CCC - The vital how much do you owe....

So it really did matter right to the end of the season. A rare win for Kelly would have saved her nearly £4 but it was not to be.

The final column shows how much you owe and as always the exact money is required so get seraching for those coppers.  Tip if you wish to leave one is paid separately.

Curry house is booked for 7.30pm. See you there.

(Lyn and Colin should be paying 10.90 1/2p but that isn't possible nowadays)

CCC match reports from an exciting last day of the season

And so we got tot the last match of the season and for some it probably couldn't have come quick enough.

Another defeat for Kelly's Bristol City this time at the expense of Jane's Charlton (4-1) saw the end to her expensive season. Kelly's last win was against Colin's Middlesborough back on March 9th and Colin's team have in fact got the worse record in 2013, only five points from the last 33 and Ted's Sheffield Wednesday scored two first half goals without reply to bring Ted within a point of Colin and ensure that he can keep Sheffield Wednesday next season.  Level on points with Ted is Andy's Huddersfield after a 2-2 draw with Barnsley, Andy's team equalising twice and Shirley's Blackburn who scored a second half equaliser at Chris's Birmingham. Apart from Kelly, the only other person paying more for their curry than Andy, Ted and Shirley is Sue who's mighty Wolves team have suffered successive relegations after losing 2-0 two Dan's Brighton. Level on points with Colin is Lyn's Blackpool (I doubt she'll be happy with that) after a 2-2 draw at Margs' Bolton with the home team scoring two first half stoppage time goals to share the points.

So if you think that it has been weighted so that the 'newbies' this season are all paying the bulk of it, think again.  At the top we knew Keith's Cardiff was top (free curry) and they were playing at Amy's Hull. All the goals were in the second half.  Cardiff scored first, Hull then scored two, Cardiff had a man sent off, Hull failed to score from the resulting penalty and then Keith's team denied Amy all three points after scoring a penalty in the 94th minute. Would a point be enough for Amy's team to guarantee promotion and a new team next year?

Scott's Watford were at home to Dave's Leeds.  The Hornets' goalkeeper was injured in the warm up, the replacement collided with one of his own players and so a 19year old made his professional debut.  Leeds took the lead, Watford equalised but by the 61st minute Scott's team were down to 10 men.  The game had been delayed by 15 minutes due to the injury to the goalkeeper and as Amy's Hull fans listened to the commentary after their final whistle had gone, Dave's Leeds scored a 90th minute winner. A goal which saw Amy secure promotion, Scott head for the playoffs and Dave's overall cost of the curry reduce by approx £2!

Also in the playoffs are Paula's Palace after a 3-2 win over Peterborough and Pete's Leicester after a 3-2 win away at Mick's Forest the winner scored in the 90th minute.  Jim's Derby scored late to secure the points over Millwall and Anna's Burnley over took Jan's Ipswich in the table after two late goals secured her the win.

CC Match reports & table update

Kelly's Bristol City got a consolation 90th minute goal but lost 3-1 at home to Andy's Huddersfield  and Sue's Wolves had a similar late goal but lost 1-2 to Anna's Burnley and Ted's Sheff Wednesday also lost at Peterborough increasing all their debt.  If Keith's Cardiff had won it would have helped them but Margs' Bolton had taken an early lead away at the Blue Birds and Keith was only able to score one in reply to achieve a 1-1 final score.

At the top Amy's Hull lost 2-0 at Barnsley but Scott's Watford beat Pete's Leicester on Friday night.  Dan's Brighton (inspired by a yellow car) won 2-1 away at Dave's Leeds in a match with three sendings off, Leeds, Brighton and Leeds with Diouf sent off after gesturing to the away fans after scoring a penalty for their only goal.

Paula's Palace drew 1-1 t Shirley's Blackburn and it was a 2-2 draw for Colin's Middlesbrough against Jane's Charlton with Jane scoring a 1st minute goal followed by a Middlesbrough own goal before the home team rallied with two late goals to take a point.

Mick's Forest won 1-0 away at Millwall whilst Jan's Ipswich had a 3-1 convincing win over Chris's Birmingham.  Blackpool's 90th minute winner gave Lyn the points over Jim's Derby.

Tuesday night saw Paula's Palace gain another point from their game in hand against Millwall leaving all teams with just one game to play.

More expensive again Kelly, Sue & Ted!
