CCC match reports & update

Colin did Sue no favours in the CCC and as she saw her Wolverhampton team lose 3-1 away at Mick's Forest, Colin's Middlesborough compounded her misery losing 2-0 away at Kelly's Bristol City meaning the two girls are now joint bottom and footing an equal share of the bill. Ted's Sheffield Wednesday won 1-0 away at Pete's high flying Leicester to improve his situation and he is now level on points with Jan's Ipswich who had a goalless draw at Peterborough.

Andy's Huddersfield are only just above after they lost at home to a 4th minute goal from Jane's Charlton, who had been level on points with Andy prior to the start of the match.  Despite taking the lead before half time, Jim's Derby lost 3-1 away at Chris's Birmingham and allowed the home team to rise above them in the table (those fraction of a penny do count!).  Lyn's Blackpool are equal on points with Chris after trailing 1-0 at half time away at Scott's Watford, but then scoring two late goals to clinch the points (once from the manager's son).

The match between Paula's Palace and Dave's Leeds was topsy turvy with Paula taking the lead in the first half and then Dave scoring two in the second half. As fate would have Final Score had just crossed to Selhurst Park for an update as Paula's team equalised and the two shared the points at the end of 90minutes. Dave's manager Neil Warnock was very angry at the end but it was difficult to tell whether it was at his players or the officials.

Margs's was delighted with her Bolton team's 1-0 win at home to Dan's Brighton, she doesn't really remember these dizzy heights and such and inexpensive curry.  Dan had a man sent off but not until the 90+ minute so it probably didn't make any difference.

CCC match reports & update

Maly Mackay says that his and Keith’s Cardiff are not under pressure from being at the top, but it was a late goal (82mins) which ensured that they took a point at home to Jim’s Derby (1-1). Will Keith still be top by May? Meanwhile Scott has extra celebrating to do (on top of his great news) as his Watford team came from behind to beat Ted’s Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 and clinch second spot. Third and fourth spot is close as Amy’s Hull were beaten 4-2 away at Paula’s Palace and Amy only leads Paula by one point.
In the match of the night Dave’s Leeds were leading away at Pete’s Leicester until the home team scored a 90th minute equaliser. There was a similar score-line at Chris’ Birmingham V Lyn’s Blackpool (Chris taking a first half lead) and Anna’s Burnley lead from the 9th minute but Barnsley equalised in the 84th. Jane had a 2-2 draw away at Peterborough and Kelly’s Bristol City picked up a point at home to Dan’s Brighton in their goal-less draw. Sue’s Wolves who were struggling at the bottom picked up all three points in an away win at Millwall. There were 1-0 home wins for Margs’ Bolton and Mick’s Forest against Shirley’s Blackburn and Jan’s Ipswich, both late goals at 90 and 84 minutes respectively. Long may Margs’ un-beaten run continue – she has no idea when the curry had the prospect of costing so little. Andy’s Huddersfield beat Colin’s Middlesborough with goals in 86th & 90th minutes after Colin had taken the lead in the 78th.

CCC match reports & update

Friday's matches saw Paula's Palace beat Jim's Derby 1-0 and Sue's lowly Wolves draw 1-1 against Scott's Watford.  On saturday Colin's Middesborough surprisingly beat Keith's Cardiff to reduce his lead at the top although he still has the free curry at the moment and Amy's Hull ensured second spot by beating Chris's Birmingham 5-2.

There were 1-0 wins for Dave's Leeds over Millwall (the scored  penalty after missing theie first one) and Jan's Ipswich over Pete's Leicester. Dan's Brighton convincingly beat Andy's Huddersfield 4-1.  There were 2-3 away wins for Margs' Bolton at Barnsley and for Peterborough at Shirley's Blackburn whilst Anna's Burnley won 1-0 away at Jane's Charlton.

The only goaless draw was Lyn's Blackpool against bottom of the table Kelly's Bristol City, oh Lyn - how badly are you doing!
