Don't try for me Argentina
I see Argentina play GB in the Women's Hockey tonight. There is no doubt that I'll be supporting GB. Argentina haven't got there act together and won many medaks and I'm not sure I still have the opportunity to win enough of any colour to make it count so there is no point in them winning that one! - Margs

Medal table
Not many in with a chance but it's not a forgone conclusion.
Asta (Kazakhstan) 6
James (Hungary) 4
Colin (North Korea) 4
Silver all close:
Lyn (Romania) 5
Chris (Denmark) 4
Pete (Spain) 4 - not too bad considering the lack of cycling, football etc. Won medals in swimming, swimming, synchronised swimming (how nice - did you watch it Pete) and triathlon (how could you)
Bronze - second place all tied... what are you still in and could earn bronze?
Christine (Canada) 6
Kate (New Zealand) 5
Dave (Poland) 5
Amy (Brazil) 5
till tomorrow..
Brazil Bubbles
I’m forever green and yellow,
Next we will be in Rio,
We block so high,
For digs we dive,
We’re good at judo,
And gymnastics, who knew (?!),
Golds are always hiding,
Two we have so far,
Some come on you green and yellows,
We want to see more medals!
BRA-ZIL, BRA-ZIL!
To the Tune of I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Amy, 20.

Medal update with a difference..
I can't be bothereed to work out who is where (maybe tomorrow)... but have you ever seen / touched an Olympic medal?
Randomly met the Belgium Coach for Judo and he had the medals that his girl won in Atlanta and Sydney, silver and bronze. He drapped them round a police woman's neck! They were really heavy.

Meanwhile Dave's getting hot....
At the same time, Dave has bagged a ticket for the athletics qualifiers. Another venue to add to the list and he was near the Olympic flame so was quite warm.
A few GB athletes - mostly didn't qualify.. :-(
Back Row specialist
So I head off to Basketball on my own and guess what - I'm in the back row - 3rd time. Great view just behind the basket. I supported Australia in the first match - and lets face it they'll be in the sweepstake in 4 years time.
I also supported Lithuania thinking it was a country in the sweepstake but when I chekced it wasn't

I did find a random Argentinian though he didn't understand the concept of sweepstake and though I like Messi :-)

Medal update
Gold
Asta regains the lead on the Golds with 6 - 4 in weightlifting, 1 in cycling (how could you), Athletics (women's triple jump).
Silver
Chris joins Lyn on 4 silver medals - Badminton, Rowing, sailing, shooting and Fencing, Judo x 2 and weightlifting respectively.
Bronze
Christine has 6 - Track Cycling, Diving x 2, Judo, Swimming, Weightlifting.
I'm off the mark with a bronze in tennis. Mick and Gillian also have medals too so that leaves Tess, Shirley and Maddy with nothing in the table.
Good luck tomorrow..
