CC Match updates and table

In the lunch time kickoffs, Amy put the pressure on Keith's Cardiff as her Hull team put two past Dave's Leeds and left Dave rueing the potential increasing expense of his curry. Meanwhile Ted's Sheff Wednesday's recent good run of form faltered as he only managed a 0-0 draw away at Andy's Huddersfield.

At the top of the table Keith won 1-0 against Millwall.  Third place Colin's Middlesborough beat Lyn's Blackpool 4-2 and fourth place Paula's Crystal Palace were unlucky not to win against Mick's Forest as the home team scored in the 90th minute to draw 2-2 - a result unusual for new manaager Alex McLeish who has won in the first match at every team he has managed.

Pete's Leicester won 1-0 against Anna's Burnley (now managerless) and in the late kick off Scott's Watford beat Dan's Brighton 3-1 - not that he cared as he was beered ad rugbyed up by then. Jim's Derby drew 1-1 with Jane's Charlton and Margs' Bolton beat Chris's Birmingham 3-1 after being 1-0 down.  Shirley's managerless Blackburn beat Barnsley 3-1 away and Jan's Ipswich beat Sue's Wolves 0-2 away meaning that Jan is within one point of Sue and paying not that much for his curry - Go Jan!

CCC Match reports

In the early kick off,  Dave's Leeds scored the first (and last goal of the game) but Mick's Notts Forest claimed the three points with a 4-2 home win.  Despite the victory, Forest have sacked manager O'Driscoll and have a Premier League manager to interview tomorrow - strange. Is it Mark Hughes?

In the Match of the Day, Keith's Cardiff extended his lead at the top after winning 2-1 against Paula despite Paula taking the early lead.  Amy's Hull let the gap widen as they drew 0-0 with Pete's Leicester, a result that didn't really help his cause either.  Colin's Middlesborough moved into third after the second goal in two games for Jutkiewicz (a great name for scrabble) against Shirley's Blackburn.

The next team not yet mentioned at the top of the table is Scott's Watford but his game against Kelly's Bristol City was postponed which really cements her place at the bottom of the table for now.  Ted's Sheff Wednesday whilst still at the bottom is reducing the gap above him after a 1-0 win against Margs's Bolton, the goal scored by Sidibe an on-loan striker from Stoke.  Jan feeling the pressure had his two on-loan strikers to thank for a 2-1 victory over Jane, enabling him to maintain his lead over Ted and get in sight of some of the pack whilst Chris's Birmingham had a centre back to thank for their two goals which gave them a 2-1 win at Barnsley and maintained his lead over Jan!

Lyn's Blackpool scored an injury time equaliser to get a share of the points away at Andy's Huddersfield, whilst Sue's Wolves lost 0-3 against Peterborough to stay on the same number of points as Andy and Anna's 2-0 win over Jim's Derby gives her a two point advantage over the two of them.  Dan's Brighton didn't play - presumably this is playing catch up with the extra games they had played.

CCC Match report, updates & fixtures

Avoiding the clash of match and Saturday Christmas shopping, there were 1-2 away wins for Sue's Wolves at Lyn's Blackpool and Amy's Hull at Jim's Derby on Friday night.  Shirley's Blackburn V Dan's Brighton was postponed - presumably due to waterlogged pitch.

Keith's Cardiff restored their 3 point lead at the top of the table with a 1-0 away win at Pete's Leicester thanks to a Craig Bellamy goal.  Dave's Leeds came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 at home to Colin's Middlesborough with a brace from Becchio whilst Scott's Watford beat Mick's Forest 2-0.  at the bottom of the table, Ted's Sheffield Wednesday claimed much needed three points with a 2-0 win over Jane's Charlton.  For the other teams at the bottom, Kelly's Bristol City took the lead away against Jan's Ipswich but the home team equalised 21 minutes later and the match ended in a draw leaving kelly at the bottom of our table and paying the most for her curry.

Chris's Birmingham scored in 89th minute to equalise with Anna's Burnley in a 2-2 draw. Margs Bolton scored two penalties and two late goals but still lost 5-4 away at Peterborough at team not in CCC but bottom of the real table.

In the Late kick off Paula's Palace took the lead against Andy's Huddersfield but lost 2-1 after Clarke the 81st minute substitute scored in 90+3 minutes.

Another match for Dan, table & fixtures

A little bit behind with the CCC. Thank you Amy for doing the CCC Team of the week - lovely shirts - do get one :-) and the match reports (especially as I won).

Anyway before I could post the table, Dan's Brighton got another sneaky match in against Millwall so they have played one ore match than the rest of us. Not sure why as they are still playing at the weekend...  Anyway here is the table as it stands this morning and Jan is back in double figures due to Ted's win and Keith's defeat.
