CCC Fixtures: Excitement: It's all about the girls at the bottom (and Dan!)

So here are this weekend's fixtures, midweek and the following weekend.

It is all important for the girls at the bottom with Lyn and Sue playing each other, Kelly and Karen and one place above them Margs and Dan.  If Lyn wins - she'll be level with Sue (count those pennies Sue) and if Kelly wins she will be level with Karen.

Oh and on Sunday Kate and Jan are battling it out to get the points to ensure promotion.

CCC - save of the month, red cards and table update

Friday night reconfirmed Sue's place second from bottom as her Wigan lost to Paula's Charlton and Colin suffered a similar fate in the early kick off as Dave's Leeds won 1-0, Colin's team suffering a bad injury resulting in the game going to 90+9min.  Jan's Derby came from behind twice against Ted's Sheffield Wednesday to win 3-2 and go top of the table; Ted's team ending with 10-men after their goalie was sent off.

Mick's Forest beat Margs' Bolton 4-1, Margs' team down to 10men and the goalie carried off injured after a 7minute delay.  Neil's Wolves thrashed Karen's Rotherham 5-0 and Dan's Brighton won 4-3 against Chris' Birmingham.  Lyn's Blackpool picked up a rare point 1-1 away at Shirley's Blackburn.

Save of the month must go to Dave who has halved the cost of his curry in the last month - a drop from £18.72 to £9.36 and in the 'less than the cost of the curry' part of the table.

The company that owns Birmingham City Football Club has gone into receivership.

The Championship club's parent company, Birmingham International Holdings Limited (BIHL), blamed "fractious and inharmonious relations within the management" for the decision.

BIHL said it had appointed three receivers from Ernst and Young.

The club said it wished to reassure supporters "most emphatically" that no winding-up petition had been filed.

CCC - table update

Not all teams played as some where in the FA Cup including Middlesborough who weren't able to extend their lead at the top, but Bournemouth only drew (they don't do that often) so they only ended up joint freebie.
Lyn's Blackpool battled well leading 2-0 and then 3-2 before falling behind 4-3 and equalising 4-4.  Lyn is catching Sue but Sue's Wigan didn't play this weekend.  Kelly's Millwall lost to Dave's Leeds and he is happy that he is paying so much less for his curry.  He's nearly back amongst the guys whilst Dan and andy are surrounding themselves with the women!
